Turn Your Expertise Into Products That Scale.
We help you turn what you know into digital products: membership platforms, online courses, licensing systems, and subscription models, tested for demand before building.
Webgold is a Caribbean digital transformation agency, founded in Trinidad and Tobago in 2002. We work with retail, hospitality, professional services, and consumer brands across Trinidad and Tobago, Jamaica, Barbados, and the wider Caribbean. Our nine capability areas cover AI strategy, brand identity, web development, digital products, paid media, content, e-commerce, social media and community, and managed hosting and support.

THE REALITY OF PRODUCTISING
You're good at what you do, but your revenue is tied to your time.
You bill by the hour, the project, or the retainer, and every dollar needs your attention. Growth means more clients, leading to more hours and more people, and margins shrink as you scale. You can't take a month off without revenue stopping. A business that depends on its owner is also hard to sell because buyers price that in.
You've probably thought about productising, and maybe tried. An online course that took six months to build sold a handful of copies. A membership site with great content had no members. A licensing model that made sense on a spreadsheet never gained traction.
Most digital products fail for the same reasons. They are built on the assumption that expertise equals a market, with no demand validation. They have no business model beyond "put it online and see", no launch system beyond an announcement and hope, and no plan for when the initial enthusiasm fades after month three.
The opportunity is real. Caribbean professionals and businesses hold expertise that regional and international markets would pay for repeatedly, at scale, without your direct involvement. The gap is product architecture, monetisation strategy, and launch execution, which turn knowledge into revenue.
It also suits organisations with proprietary methodologies, training programmes, compliance frameworks, or industry expertise. A financial services firm can package compliance training as a licensed programme. A hospitality group can turn its operating standards into a certification. A consultancy can build a SaaS tool from its own methodology. For an established business, digital products are strategic revenue diversification and go well beyond online courses.
THE POTENTIAL OF DIGITAL PRODUCTS
What a complete Products system includes.
A Webgold engagement focuses on what your business actually needs to turn expertise into recurring revenue. Not every organisation requires every element.
Membership Platforms
Recurring-revenue communities built around your expertise, with tiered access, content libraries, community features, and member management. Digital product strategy that turns one-time buyers into subscribers.
Online Courses & Learning
Self-paced courses, cohort programmes, and certification systems, with progress tracking, completion certificates, and payment integration. Your methodology is packaged into structured educational products for independent learning.
Subscription Services
Recurring access to tools, resources, data, or services, including content subscriptions, SaaS development, research libraries, and template systems, on a subscription architecture built for predictable monthly revenue.
Licensing & Frameworks
Package your methodology, model, or system for other professionals and organisations to license, with training certification, quality control, and territorial rights. A monetisation strategy that earns without your presence.
Digital Marketplaces
Multi-vendor platforms that connect buyers and sellers with transaction processing, vendor management, quality control, and marketplace economics. You earn from facilitating the sale, not delivering it.
Digital Downloads & Resources
Templates, toolkits, guides, planners, and assessment frameworks. These lower-price, higher-volume products work as entry points to your premium offerings, and they are quick to launch and easy to scale.
Hybrid Models
Productised services with digital delivery: group coaching programmes, done-with-you implementations, and advisory retainers with self-service parts. Business model design for the bridge between pure product and pure service.
Community Platforms
Purpose-built spaces for your audience to connect, learn, and engage, with discussion forums, event integration, resource libraries, and member directories. Community as the product, not only as marketing.
WHY WEBGOLD
Strategy before execution. Always.
Establish a product people will pay for.
Diagnose → Design → Deliver → Sustain, with regional expertise at every step.
Demand before development.
We validate demand before building. Who needs this, what will they pay, how will you reach them, and why will they buy from you? If those questions lack strong answers, we don't build yet. We help you find them first.
Business model architects.
Digital products run on different economics from services: acquisition cost, lifetime value, churn, pricing, and payment recovery. We design monetisation strategies on those numbers, not projections that only look good on a slide.
One team to build, launch, and scale.
Product strategy, platform development, payment integration, launch campaigns, and ongoing optimisation come from one team, so you aren't coordinating a strategist, a developer, and a marketing agency.
Caribbean market understanding.
We design for how Caribbean audiences pay, with local payment options built in, pricing set for regional markets, and room for international and diaspora buyers, so the product sells at home first.
PACKAGED FOR THE CARIBBEAN
Digital products priced and built for home and diaspora.
Four conditions that shape every product plan we write for this region. Depth and frequency scale with your service level.
Regional payment integration.
Caribbean customers need local payment options. We integrate the processors they already use and build payment flows that don't lose customers at checkout, applying our Commerce experience to product sales.
Pricing for island economies.
Pricing a digital product for a Trinidad audience differs from pricing for the US. We design pricing that works regionally, with multi-tier options, regional prices, and currency flexibility across island markets.
Reach your diaspora audience.
Caribbean professionals often have a diaspora audience that values their expertise and perspective. Digital products reach those buyers without a physical presence, and we help you build for home and diaspora together.
Expertise that crosses borders.
Caribbean knowledge in fields like hospitality management, cuisine, culture, and regional compliance can find buyers outside the region. We help you package it, with positioning, pricing, and distribution included.
PRODUCTS WITH MEASURABLE RESULTS
What product strategy can look like in practice.
Transformation is different for every business. Here are two illustrative scenarios, based on patterns we see in the Caribbean, that illustrate the return on digital products.
CONSULTING
A local consultant projects 75% first-year retention in a new membership
What we would assess: Their pipeline is full, and clients are happy, but every dollar of revenue needs their time. An earlier course sold only a handful of copies because nobody tested demand first.
What we would do: validate demand before building, then launch a minimum viable membership and learn from real customers, with payment and access systems built to scale.
What we would measure: first-year retention, share of revenue from the product, and time to first revenue, reviewed at 90 days and again at one year.

FINANCIAL SERVICES
A Caribbean financial firm projects 80% licence renewal
What we would assess: This firm teaches its compliance method to clients one engagement at a time. The method could be licensed, but the firm has no model for pricing, access, or quality control.
What we would do: design the licensing model, the access and payment system, and the quality controls for licencees, then plan the launch with a first group of partners.
What we would measure: licence renewal rate, licencees signed, and revenue per delivery hour, reviewed at 90 days and again at one year.

YOUR JOURNEY WITH DIGITAL PRODUCTS
Wherever you start, there is a path to a product.
Three possible starting points. Each begins with one question: will anyone pay for this? Every plan covers one product and scales with your needs. No long-term contracts or penalties for changing plans.
You have expertise but no product yet
You know you should productise but not what form it should take. The strategy phase is built for this: we assess your market, expertise, and audience to choose the right product type and business model before building anything.
You've tried and it didn't work
You've launched a digital product, such as a course, membership, or licence, and it didn't gain traction. We diagnose why, usually positioning, pricing, launch, or business model and not the expertise itself, then design the fix.
You have a product that needs to scale
Your already working product has traction, but growth has plateaued. We optimise conversion funnels, pricing architecture, retention mechanics, and expansion opportunities to unlock the next level of growth.
HOW WEBGOLD PRODUCTS WORK
A realistic timeline from product validation to launch and growth.
Our Diagnose → Design → Deliver → Sustain method for Product Strategy & Execution
PHASE 1
Strategy & Validation (3–4 weeks)
Product opportunity assessment, market analysis, audience research, business model design, and demand validation. If the numbers don't work, we tell you before you invest. You leave with a validated concept and a business case.
PHASE 2
MVP Development (6–8 weeks)
Core product build, payment and access systems, a launch funnel, and beta testing. We launch a minimum viable product with core value, then iterate on real customer data on platforms that scale without a rebuild.
PHASE 3
Launch Campaign (4–6 weeks)
Pre-launch audience building, strategic positioning, launch sequence execution, conversion optimisation, and early customer success. A launch is a system, and the announcement is only one day of it.
PHASE 4
Growth & Optimisation (ongoing)
Performance monitoring, conversion optimisation, feature prioritisation, pricing refinement, retention mechanics, and expansion planning, so the product keeps growing past launch.
COMMON QUESTIONS
Straight Answers
How do I know if my expertise is productisable?
Three tests. Do people already pay you for this knowledge? Do clients ask repeat questions that you answer in similar ways? Would they value self-service access at a lower price than custom work? If yes to all three, you have an opportunity. If you're unsure, the strategy phase will tell you.
What's a realistic revenue timeline?
Timelines depend on your audience. With an existing audience, first revenue can come soon after launch within about 6-8 weeks. Without one, expect 4-6 months of audience building first. Sustainable revenue usually takes longer than people hope, about 12-18 months, and we set a realistic timeline in the strategy phase.
Do I need a large following to launch a product?
It helps, but it isn't required. A pre-launch campaign can build the audience alongside the product. What you need is a clearly defined audience and a credible way to reach them.
What platforms do you build on?
It depends on the product type. WordPress with membership plugins suits content-driven platforms. Custom builds suit complex marketplace or SaaS models. Established platforms like Teachable or Thinkific suit courses when speed to market matters more than customisation. We recommend what fits and have no platform bias.
Can I keep running my service business while building a product?
Yes, and you should. Most clients keep their service revenue going during the product build, then shift their time gradually as product revenue grows. The goal is a second revenue stream that can eventually become the main one, not an overnight pivot.
“Webgold provides a level of support I just haven't seen in all my years of operation. We’ve never run smoother.”
