Webgold Powertranz connects WooCommerce to Powertranz, the payment platform behind First Atlantic Commerce, for merchants in Trinidad and Tobago, Jamaica, Barbados and across the Caribbean. It supports on-site checkout, the Powertranz hosted payment page, 3-D Secure 2, saved cards, refunds, manual capture, WooCommerce Subscriptions and the WooCommerce block checkout.

HOW IT WORKS
From licence to live payments.
You’ll need a Powertranz merchant account, WordPress 6.4+ with WooCommerce 8.0+, PHP 8.1+, and an SSL certificate.
STEP 1
Get Your Licence
Purchase Webgold Powertranz and receive your licence key.
STEP 2
Install & Activate
Upload the plugin, activate it, and enter your licence key on the Webgold PTZ licence page.
STEP 3
Connect Powertranz
Add your Powertranz ID and password, then choose on-site or hosted checkout, 3-D Secure and saved cards.
STEP 4
Test, Then Go Live
Run test payments against Powertranz staging, switch to live, and start taking cards.
LICENCE & REQUIREMENTS
US$279 a year. Updates and support included.
Your licence activates the gateway and unlocks automatic updates in WordPress. Keep it active to keep taking payments. Payment is taken in Trinidad and Tobago dollars: TT$1,897.20 a year.

COMMON QUESTIONS
Straight Answers
I use your FAC plugin. Can I switch?
Yes. Install Webgold Powertranz and it imports your FAC plugin settings on first activation. Existing orders, saved cards and subscriptions keep working. You’ll activate it with a new Webgold Powertranz licence key.
Does it support the WooCommerce block checkout?
Yes. It works with both the block checkout and the classic checkout.
Can I bill subscriptions?
Yes, with WooCommerce Subscriptions. Renewals run in the background against the customer’s saved card, and customers can update their card from their account.
Can I charge renewals in another currency?
Yes. Choose a From and To currency and set your exchange rate. Renewal orders are converted and charged in the To currency, and the order records the amount charged.
Do I need WooCommerce Subscriptions?
No. It’s optional — install it only if you sell subscriptions or memberships.
What happens if my licence lapses?
The gateway is hidden at checkout until the licence is active again, so renew before it expires.
